Can You Supply Pictures Not Currently Listed on Your
Website ?
We are constantly adding pictures to our library and do update
our website frequently. However if there is a particular picture that you are
looking for, please do feel free to contact us.
Can You Reproduce My Images for Me ?
Sorry but due to Copyright concerns we cannot undertake to
reproduce your images.
What is Giclée Printing ?
Giclée from the french 'to-spray' is a method of printing
using a wider range of inks than would be used with conventional printing. Giclée
printing produces a wider range of vibrant colours on non-standard materials such
as canvas. More info is available here.
What Kind of Inks Do You Use ?
We use pigment-based archival inks rated to last over 100
years in normal conditions.
Do You Supply Pictures in Others Sizes ?
Currently we are unable to offer pictures in sizes other than
those shown.
Will my Framed Picture Look Exactly as if Does on
Your Website ?
Yes, allowing for small differences between the way in which
different monitors display colours, your picture will look like it does on our
site.
Are You Offering Paintings or Prints ?
Our Pictures are all Giclee Prints.

Finishing,
Mounting and Framing Questions
Should I Varnish Your Canvases ?
It is not essential to varnish our canvases. The inks that
we use are water resistant. However we do varnish all of our framed canvases with
a low-sheen giclée varnish to enhance colour and increase durability.
How Should I Mount / Frame a Canvas supplied by You
?
You can either board mount or stretch our canvases over standard
picture stretcher bars. We choose to board mount our canvases as the result is
more durable and less prone to damage than canvases stretched over a frame. Detailed
information regarding this is supplied with all canvases.
Are Your Frames Solid Wood or Plastic ?
All our frames are solid wood with resin mouldings and features.
They are all robust frames. We choose not supply cheap, inferior quality plastic
frames.
How Can I Hang My Framed Picture ?
All framed canvases are supplied with hook eyes and picture
cord. Alternatively, if you wish the picture to sit flush against the wall, you
can simply hang the picture from one of the recesses in the back of the frame.
Do You Offer a Canvas Stretching Service (Box Canvases)
?
Currently we do not have the facilities to offer this service
and we are reluctant to do so as stretched canvases are very vulnerable to damage
during shipment. Most of our customers, who purchase unframed canvases, take them
to their local framing store for stretching.
What Type of Surface Texture Do Your Old Masters Have
?
The texture is a conventional canvas texture. When varnished
our canvases look very similar to original oil paintings that you might see in
a gallery, museum or stately home. N.B. There are no brush strokes on our canvases.
